Questions and support

Short answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, send an email.

When will the app be available?

It is in development. It will be released on Google Play, starting with a closed test. There is no date yet; this site will be updated.

Will it cost money?

The plan is a free offline core. If there is ever a paid option, it is meant to be a fair one-time unlock rather than a forced subscription. There will be no ads and no data sales. This plan is not final.

Does the app read my notifications?

Not by default. Decisions use only the app, the notification type and the time. Content is read only if you turn on content display, and only at the moment it is shown to you.

Could I miss an important call or message?

Calls, alarms, reminders, calendar and navigation notifications are never held. Apps on your Never hold list come through in every mode, and the app can remind you once more if such a notification is not opened within five minutes.

Why does it have no internet permission?

It does not need one. Everything happens on your phone, so your notifications cannot be sent anywhere.

Does it drain the battery?

It does not run a constant background service or keep checking in a loop. It reacts to notifications through Android's notification listener and uses the phone's alarms for delivery times. Some manufacturers limit background apps; the setup screens show how to allow it on your phone.

Which phones does it work on?

Android 8 and later. The fingerprint lock needs Android 9 or later and a screen lock (fingerprint, PIN or pattern) set up on the phone.

Do notifications go into the archive on their own?

No. Only notifications you choose to archive are saved, encrypted and on your phone. You can add a folder, an amount and a due date, and delete items at any time.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

All of its data is deleted from the phone. Android cloud backup is off, so if you want to keep your rules, export them to a file first.

Which languages are supported?

The app is being prepared in English, Turkish, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Portuguese and Russian. During development, some new screens appear in Turkish first.

How do I report a problem or suggest an idea?

In the app, open Settings and choose Send feedback; your email app opens with a ready message. You can also write directly to hey@ha-shh.com.
